And yesterday, January 26, the 7 Summits Club group "Expectants" in full force climbed to the top of Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica. This was, perhaps, the most massive ascent of this mountain, total about 40 climbers. And the latest in the season. And now we are already enjoying the comfort of Union Glacier. Tomorrow we will have some more rest here and plan to fly to Chile in a day.

According to information from the 7 Summits Club guides Artem Rostovtsev and Boris Egorov, the 7 Summits Club team climbed to the assault camp  (High camp) at an altitude of 3200 meters and tomorrow sets out to climb the summit of Vinson. So far, everything is going according to plan.

Strong winds continue in the area of Mount Vinson. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, the 7 Summits Club team completed the acclimatization rotation program. Now the participants and guides of our group are in the Low Camp and are preparing to storm the summit. They are studying the forecasts and trying to leave at the optimal time for a successful ascent.

Antarctica News. After 10 days of tiring waiting in comfortable conditions on Union Glacier, the 7 Summits Club group "Waiters" finally reached Vinson Base Camp on two planes. We settled in a new place, sorted out all the gear and food supplies. It seems there is so much of it that we will be able to spend the winter here. Tomorrow we are waiting for the forecast and will decide when to leave for the Lower Camp.

After 13 (!!!) days of waiting, five groups of climbers set off to climb the highest peak of Antarctica, Mount Vinson. The 7 Summits Club group was the fifth to leave - 10 participants and two guides. Now the agenda is a high-speed climb, without additional days for acclimatization. Good luck!

Greetings from Antarctica! Our whole team has been at the Union Glacier camp for seven days now. We have the most serious test for any mountaineer-traveler here - waiting. The weather has been better and worse during the week, but we still haven't waited for a window to fly into the Vinson base camp. In the meantime, we eat well, even too well, play board games, play sports as much as possible and have endless conversations. And one day, the whole our noisy crowd took a walk to the local beach. And we are waiting for our captain and the climbers on Sidley after their ascent. So far, there is no definite information about the flights. Guides Boris Egorov and Artem Rostovtsev.

Hello to the 7 Summits Club from us, the numerous participants of the Antarctic expeditions! A team of climbers of the highest volcano in Antarctica, Sidley, and a team of climbers of the highest peak in Antarctica, Vinson, have gathered at Union Glacier. There are more than 20 of us in total. The largest team on this final flight from the mainland. We waited out two days of bad weather, and right now the first team has flown out to Sidley, where they will reunite with our commander Alex Abramov. And with Vinson, everything is more complicated. There are clouds in Vinson's base camp, we are waiting for the wind to blow the clouds away and they will send us there. And we also met the Transglobal car expedition around the world, which has many acquaintances and friends.

The Vinson-5 and Sidley-3 groups in full force gathered in the southern Chilean city of Punta Arenas. The flight is scheduled for January 10. We are getting ready, waiting for the flight and enjoying Punta Arenas!

Our representatives met the participants of the first group of climbers of the 7 Summits Club to the highest peak of Antarctica, Mount Vinson, in Punta Arenas. Hello from Antarctica! The whole team is resting in a glamping at the Union Glacier base after climbing Vinson. We immediately relaxed here from the warmth and abundance of delicious food. But we still participate in all the activities: running, skiing, lectures and film screenings. And of course, we held a small awards ceremony!

Antarctica! Yesterday the entire group climbed the summit of the white continent, Mount Vinson. Our super guide Artem Rostovtsev, as a first-class expert in these places, planned everything competently, and we quickly went up the mountain without delays and with the necessary acclimatization. We were also lucky with the weather, thank all the gods, and we had many of them, the team is international: Russians, Poles, a Kazakh and a girl from India! Now we are all resting in the base camp and waiting for the flight to Union Glacier. Perhaps we are stuck here for a few days. But we will not be bored, firstly, there is Internet here, and secondly, tomorrow we begin building an igloo!

We arrived in Antarctica! We are walking in light down jackets along Union Glacier. We were given a tour of the camp, fed deliciously, and now we are waiting for the flight to the Vinson Base Camp. The weather is forecasted to get worse, so we would like to fly away soon!

Hello everyone! A new season is beginning on the southernmost continent of our planet. All preparations for the flight to Antarctica have been made. Artem and I bought a lot of food and checked all the equipment for our first Vinson. Yesterday, the whole team checked in, and today early in the morning we are leaving for the airport. Our flight was scheduled for a day ahead of schedule, so we did not suffer from waiting. Everyone is cheerful and in anticipation of a new adventure!

  Artem Rostovtsev: the next tourist season in Antarctica has ended. We went skiing with a group under the "Last Degree" program to the South Pole, climbed in full force on two consecutive expeditions to the top of the Vinson massif. And there was also one successful ascent of the 7 Summits Club group on the Sidley volcano under the leadership of Lyudmila Korobeshko.

Everything went great. We didn't lose anyone, we didn't forget, we didn't freeze them. The equipment was packed in storage on the glacier and in Punta Arenas until the next season. And we brought a lot of impressions and photos/videos with us.

According to the information received, today the group of the 7 Summits Club under the leadership of Artyom Rostovtsev reached the summit of Mount Vinson and descended safely. The ascent took place in a normal mode, all participants and two guides reached the highest point. Unfortunately, this year it was not possible to establish a stable connection with the groups that were in the Vinson area. But we will be waiting for full information, photos and videos upon the team's return to the Union Glacier base.
