Today two teams of the 7 summits Club came to Punta Arenas. One group is going to Vinson, under the leadership of Alex Abramov and Vladimir Kotlyar. The second group is  for the "Two last degree", 220 km to the South pole. Leader – Lyudmila Korobeshko. Now we have two days of training and 18 th December we should fly to Antarctica.

And yet: good food and fresh air.

Lyudmila Korobeshko: Preparing to fly to Antarctica is in full swing. We check all equipment and at the same time divide it (as long as no fights). After all, at the Union we will have to divide it - Volodya and Sasha fly to Vinson, and I will go in the direction of the South Pole. Two degrees is not one degree!

Vladimir Kotlyar: Today, Sasha and Luda introduced me to Russian pilots, board a team of IL-76! Interesting people, both as of  adventure books! The commander and the radio operator Anatoly and Alexei have two hundredth landing on the ice a few days ago, and today we have noted it with an excellent lamb !!! Thank you guys for your hospitality and  for the  great day!

January 5, 2016 the second in season team of 7 Summits Club under the leadership of Alexander Abramov climbed to the highest point of Antarctica.
Alexander Abramov reported from the summit of Vinson Massif: "Our whole team has reached the top - Mikhail, Roman, Janusz, Kirill and, of course, I, Alexander. December 27, 2015 a team of 7 Summits Club led by Alexander Abramov climbed the highest point of Antarctica.

Hello! This is Alex Abramov. I run my report from the summit of the Massif Vinson. We are the first and only team, which today climbed to the highest point. The weather is beautiful, and it is almost no wind! I did not even put a down jacket ... there are lovely views around, however, some clouds, but no wind .. We took a chance, went out in bad weather, and guessed. At the top are staying now: Alexey, Dmitry, Vasily, and our American friends ANI guides Scott, Næss and Andy. And, of course, your humble servant, Alexander Abramov.

Hello! This is Alexander Abramov from the Union Glacier. We just came from Vinson base camp. Some days here there was a very strong wind, bad weather. However, we were landed at Union Glacier ... Soon enough, that is, at about 20 hours, Ilyushin should theoretically arrive. Weather is improving, wind calmed down ...

Today we went up to the High camp, to an assault camp. We brought up everything we will need, heavy backpacks: products and all equipment needs for climbing. And besides, it was a good for acclimatization. Now we went down into the Low camp. We ate very good, everyone is happy. Tomorrow we have a day of rest. That means, tomorrow we will sleep until midday, then have breakfast, then we have the whole day for preparing to the assault outing. And the next day we start climbing, again in the High camp and then to the summit ....

Hello! This is Alexander Abramov from Antarctica. Yesterday, a new group arrived: Roman, Michail, Cyril and our Polish friend Janusz. Now our friendly company of five plans how to climb Vinson Massif. As you know from previous reports, the weather this year is mostly bad. Now we have at Vinson Massif again delayed flights. Those groups that descended from the Summit of Mount Vinson are sitting in the base camp, waiting for departure at Union Glacier. Ilyushin flew away, which was 29th. This continues for the third day, and that the worst thing is that in the Vinson Massif ... it is also all covered with clouds, and also snowing. Therefore flights now not take place and we are in Union Glacier Base Camp. We eat well here, in principle, we have comfortable conditions. But ... it is high time to fly. It seems that the bad weather will last a few more days. Maybe we will be able to escape.

Hello! This is Alexander Abramov from Antarctica. All our day was held in preparation for the flight to an Mount Vinson. But this did not happen, the weather turned bad. Now we are still sitting on the base of Union Glacier ... The weather will give us finally a chance to sleep. We almost do not sleep three days, always moving somewhere. Today we went 15 kilometers from the base of the Union Glacier. There we ran the drone and did some shooting. We also played miniature golf. Maybe this was the first blow with a stick in Antarctica. Although I doubt it.

Well, in general, the team has a cheerful mood. And if tomorrow we will not be able to fly to Vinson Massif, the day after tomorrow there is a plan to fly to the South Pole. It will take approximately one day. The weather at the base camp is not bad. But the weather in the mountains and around - bad. There is poor visibility ... around. As a result, our plans are not clear.

Alex: Only we (Lena Abramova) said farewell to Jamil Manizade for the flight to the South Pole, and visited Fort Bulnes, as members of our first group arrived in Punto Arenas. They are Vasily, Alexey and Dmitry.

So everyone with peace of mind went to visit the penguins on Magdalena Island.
I went to buy the products that tomorrow we will ship for loading. For a while! ..

We have already written about this wonderful book and noted that the author did exactly what he wanted. Well, the presentation was held in form, which, of course, was also pleasing to him. In the form of a meeting of friends!

Once again pay tribute to the author and his assistants: the book, in the form of the album, is 100% successful. This happen not often.

First of all there were author’s fellows from a trek to the South pole, just friends, also active members of the 7 summits Club: Dmitry Moskalev, Vladimir Lande and Yuri Taidakov. Andrey Belov represented the heroic crew of Il-76 linking the Antarctic base with the mainland.

In addition, Luba and Victor Nikolaevs were here, that all the well-known authorities in the field of mountaineering. And other nice and lovely people. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal, helped by the cozy atmosphere of the Museum and high quality alcohol.

There is no doubt that no one has to regret that visited the presentation. There was much that is so appreciated by the participants of the polar travel - human communication, not in extreme conditions. Everyone heard what they wanted to hear and could get autograph of the author on own copy.

In the spotlight was also the President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov. He was being very busy with preparation a new Everest expedition, but managed to find the strength to make a short speech. Again, thanks to the alcohol, it proved to be relatively successful.

The 7 Summits Club also represented a world 7 summits record holder Lyudmila Korobeshko (Director of the Company) and professional polar Explorer, our manager Anastasia Kuznetsova.
