Hello ! Our team sends greetings to all from the top of Mount Wilhelm, the highest peak in Papua New Guinea. Here we went up just 3-5 minutes ago, took pictures with our beloved flag, and are now beginning to slow down. Weather, thank God, improved, and will give us the opportunity to go down without accidents .... The team is: Oleg , Gregory , Michael , Vladimir, Vyacheslav , Lyudmila and Alexander. That is our cheerful company. Now we have to descend down. We walked up about 8 hours, and plan 7 hours to go down, because there is such a slippery road. The slippery, covered with dirt and grass rocks. That's it! I hope everything will be fine. So long! Hello everyone !

Hello ! Thus is Alexander Abramov from Papua New Guinea. Today Alexander Abramov and Ludmila Korobeshko and Oleg Griga, three, climbed to the top of Mount Giluve, the tallest volcanoes in Australia. We have dedicated this climb an old holiday, the anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. The rest of the team, four persons, climbed the unnamed peak elevation of 4,000 meters,
Tomorrow the whole team goes down, in the town of Mount Haggen. And after spending a night, we go to climb the highest peak inPapua New Guinea–Mount Willhelm, whose height is about 4500 meters. All these expeditions quite unique, are under severe weather conditions: rain, mud, swamps...

Lyudmila Korobeshko : Greetings from sunny-rainy city of Mount Haggen, it is Papua New Guinea!
Here from morning to afternoon sun bakes and in the afternoon downpour begins and continues till the morning.
Today at 9:00 am the team arrived. Two days of continuous flight were little tired, but people kept well. The first step, of course, medicine.
After all, tomorrow at 5 a.m. there will be a start on mountain in the pouring rain and cold. We must somehow get warm. A warming agent (alcohol) is only in a special kazimats type of concrete with wire and guard the perimeter, released by coupons ... We got it.
The guys found a wealth of climbing experience. They gladly shared their stories of climbing on Mount Kazbek, Elbrus, Ararat, Kilimanjaro, Cotopaxi, Aconcagua, Orizaba. Were even on the tops of the rarely visited as Huyten in Mongolia and Tajumulco in Guatemala.
But such a strange country, they said, they see for the first time.
Early tomorrow we shall go. Let's see what the feelings will be after returning from a three days of shower climbing in the tallest volcano of Australia and Oceania – Mount Giluve. Now the boys were firmly outlined a dip in one of the highest lakes ....

Plus Kosciuszko!!!! Congratulations to Vitaly Simonovic with a new achievement!

While a majority of members of the Global heroic expedition of the 7 Summits Club was quick to return home , a tireless Vitaly Simonovic continued to perform feats . After climbing to the top of Carstensz Pyramid, he stayed on the "green" continent and climbed the highest peak in mainland Australia, Mount Kosciuszko.
Thus, Vitaly has successfully completed the 7 Summits in two versions : with Carstens Pyramid and Kosciuszko. Interestingly, that he began his march over tops of the world relatively recently - in 2011, with Kilimanjaro. And such a quick result - 7 Summits, for a little more than 2 years .
By the way, Vitali is also close to the completion of Project 7 Volcanoes, it remained only to climb to the two volcanoes: Orizaba and Ojos. Both ascents are scheduled for the next three six months.
So, there is a chance that Vitaly Simonovich will be the fastest man in the world who have completed two programs at once : 7 Summits 7 and Volcanoes. And he can also add the Poles !
And once again we congratulate our members of the Global Expedition Elena Gorelik and Mikhail Turowski , who also successfully completed the 7 Summits program on Version 7 + 1.

Alexander Abramov of the expedition to Carstensz Pyramid. Today might be called "happy day" or "day of the sun." In the morning the sun came out, and during the day it occasionally shone for us. But sometimes, however, was a little rain.
But compared to previous days, of course, this is great progress. We have dry tents, the first time from the beginning of trek.
Now we are on the high plateau. In the morning, we have seen an array of Carstensz Pyramid. This camp five, a day from the future base camp.

Hello! Alexander Abramov sends information from Irian Jaya, aprovinceofPapua. We're going to Carstensz Pyramid. Today the whole day we walked through the swamps, climbed the steep slippery slopes, clinging to the different roots. One of porters even lost one boot in the mud. In general, it's not easy, everything is pretty hard ... Above that, Nikolai Stepanenko was sick of some unknown illness, and now we have sent him back. He went down with the accompanying and will try to fly home. Now we set up the tents right in the swamp, getting ready for bed, as well as to receive an evening meal. But, in general, we have all the good spirits. To Carstensz we should spend five more days of this path. And about five days on the way back. But we like this adventure. It is still not so bad. Goodbye!

From Timika in just a few hours we flew to thevillageofSugapa. Sugapa is already known to me for the past journey, which took place in 2008. Of course, a lot has changed in 5 years ... but not too much. Tomorrow we start our trekking route.

Of course, the country looks like a "Reservation forAustralia."
All is well in Papua. And they do not need anything. It seems to me that they are happy.
Everything is very poor. They go to the ragged shoes or even barefoot. But Papuans are constantly smiling. Nice to see their friendly attitude. And not because of the money. Though of course we pay…
The hotel we had, was really good one. The best inMountHagen. With swimming pool. A dining ... It is super. Roast leg of lamb. And an array of delicacies. It is a pity that only once during the whole time…. The rest of the time we have to spend in wet tents or on sucking dirt trail.
We wanted to climb the highest volcano inAustraliaand Oceania –MountGiluwe (4368 m). This is one of the 7 Summits Project - 7 Volcanoes! Before us, there were 3-4 Russian climbers – all singles. And our team is made up of 7 climbers. It is possible to say - the first big Russian expedition. I'm kidding. You always want to stand out.
The ascent took two full days. And it turned out really challenging and difficult.Forest, sucking mud, grassland with constant ups and downs, rain - as under the shower. Wet grassy slopes and climbing on them without belay. Hard and dangerous.
But we are happy. We are happy that we did it. Happy that it's over. And a short rest - 3 days inManilaandBali. We start for another challenge, interesting and difficult climb on the Carstensz Pyramid.
Last year, I did not reach to the top of Ojos del Salado inChile, the highest volcano in the world. I should turn back 50 meters before the highest point. So in January I am going there again. I hope - with the same (Papua) command. I want to reach the summit on January 16. To complete the project 7 Volcanoes. And to celebrate my day anniversary - 50 years!

Hello! Alex Abramov is calling direct from the top of Mount Giluve, the tallest volcano in the Ausralien continent. All members of our team has reached the top. The ascent was much more difficult than we expected. Mainly due to the fact that the climb goes on wet and steep grassy slopes. It is difficult to keep safety. In general, this is not an easy walk as we thought. Now we begin to descent from the summit. I hope that we go down, nothing will happen. I wil call you when we will be down. But not soon, because the connection will not be at the bottom of the mountain. Goodbye!

One of the most active members of our Club Vyacheslav Adrov after traveling in Japan went to continue his adventure in the Hawaiian Islands. He climbed to the top of the highest (from sole to the top) mountain on Earth - Mauna Kea by motorcycle with a start out of underwater (with depth) of diving.
This climb was recognized as an official record of Russia (unanimous decision) in the global category of "one-of-a-kind."
The record was set May 9, 2013 and is listed in the "Guinness Book of Records Russia"
In the final version of the wording of the recognized record: "The biggest change in air pressure in the individual mountain climbing" - 0.87 atmosphere in 4 hours 48 minutes while climbing Mauna Kea (Hawaii).
