Dear friends, we are happy to share the news from Vitaly Lazo and his team, who are going to Mount Everest as part of the 7 Summits Club and 8000 Club groups!

He is 84 old and worked as a porter on the famous 1953 Everest expedition with Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary. It was a great shooting day!
Today we spent the night in Dibuche, and in the morning — a trek to the village of Periche (4370 m)”

Alexander Abramov before leaving : It is amazing!  Immediately our 4 expeditions to the summits above 8000 meters begin on April 12-17. These are two expeditions of the 8000 Club. On April 12 to Everest with the leader Viktor Volodin.  And on April 17, an expedition to Makalu led by Lyudmila Korobeshko. Hello everyone from Nepal! Today our “Beautiful” group has a day of acclimatization and rest. The first night at an altitude of 3500 passed perfectly. Especially considering that we had very little sleep the night before. But now, finally, everyone has slept and rested.

After breakfast, we took a short walk, gaining another 400 meters in height. We looked at the beautiful mountains, basked in the sun and returned to the camp to rest before lunch. After all, tomorrow we will have a new difficult crossing of the pass.

Hello everyone from Nepal from the group Beautiful! Today was a difficult day for us. More precisely, it was night. Since the flights to Lukla were transferred from Kathmandu to another airport, at two o'clock in the morning we had to leave the hotel and go on an adventure. Four hours on a broken mountain road, and now small planes take us to Lukla to the beginning of the route.  After a small snack in Lukla, we went on a route towards Mera Peak.

The base camp on Everest is under construction, large tents have already been set up.  On Tuesday, April 11, the organizers and guides fly to Kathmandu. On April 15th, the main part of the Everest expeditions will start. The expedition on Makalu starts in 2 more days, on April 17th.

 Namaste from Nepal!  The group "In search of papaya" has reached civilization! We crossed the Torong La pass with a height of 5450 meters and descended to the town of Muktinath.  After the spartan conditions in the loggias, the hotel feels like something unreal. Especially the speed of the Internet in it! Now everyone has bathed, eaten and rested after the hard trek. Then there will be days of rest and easy walking - we have already done all the most difficult things!!!

Vitaly Lazo and Anton Pugovkin with a small shooting and escort team are scheduled to fly to Lukla tomorrow. And from there start your march to the foot of the highest peak in the World. This year they will work in cooperation with the expeditions of the 7 Summits Club and the 8000 Club, using our vast experience in organizing and conducting ascents of Mount Everest.  So we will be doubly worried and rooting for these outstanding athletes, wishing them the successful execution of their plans.

 One, two, three: GO! Death Zone Freeride team is pleased to announce the start of the next step of the project: an ascent and following skiing from Everest. Death Zone Freeride is the project of two Snow Leopards, Vitaly Lazo and Anton Pugovkin. On April 4, the team flew to Kathmandu to begin their way to the highest mountain in the world.

Super-guide of the 7 Summits Club Sergey Avtomonov reports from Nepal:

The group "In search of papaya" is in touch. Yesterday we had no communication, so the news for two days. Yesterday we traversed from Shrekharka to Yak Kharka.  This is almost a kilometer of difference, but the height has not changed much. A beautiful warm day with a light breeze and beautiful views. We tried not to strain ourselves too much and recover from the tedious ascent to Lake Tilicho. We got there quickly, we were in the camp by lunch.  Rested and slept well. Today we moved to the upper camp of Torong Pedi.  We reached it in 3 hours, slowly. The altitude is already felt, although it is much easier to walk after the lake than if we had immediately climbed here. Today, according to the plan, an early dinner and at 5 am exit to the Torong pass. I hope the weather will be good and we will easily cross over to the other side.

The 8000 Club has started its work. Among the first steps is a sports expedition on Mount Everest under the leadership of Viktor Volodin. The team is small, but quite capable. We wish the participants and the guide good weather, good luck!

News from April 2. Namaste from the group "In search of papaya"! Today we left the village of Manang.  We left the best lodge on the trek and walked up the most beautiful valley. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining all day and crazy views of Annapurna, Pisang Summits, Tilicho and many others were opened. During the day we went up to the Tilicho base camp, settled in the lodge and are preparing for an early exit to the lake. Tomorrow is a difficult day: we leave at 4:30 in the morning. And today is dinner and early lights out.

Namaste from Nepal! Today we started our trekking. We came out of Chame and saw the first big mountains. After an hour we reached a beautiful place with coffee and donuts. After the doughnuts, it was even more fun and enjoyable. The beautiful weather and the sun made us happy along the way. At lunch we stopped at another lodge to have a snack and relax. After lunch, we slowly reached the Upper Pisang, settled in the loggia. Then we went to the monastery for a cultural program and acclimatization. Tomorrow we go to Manang, looking forward to the incredible views of the mountains and a great walk.

 Good afternoon, greetings from Nepal!  We are at the start of the climbing season in the big mountains. And it all starts with small - we go to the trekking around Annapurna. Today we started our event.  Finally packed up, bought the missing things.  In Kathmandu, we walked through museums and visited Swayambhu stupa. Now we are packing up and preparing for tomorrow's flight to Pokhara.

A climber who first ascended on the summit above eight thousand meters gets the right to be called a member of the 8000 Club. It is enough for him to confirm his desire to join our community. Today, the first team of Sherpas of the expedition of the 7 Summits Club and the 8000 Club on Everest reached the Base Camp (BC). It has been raining and snowing here for a week. The first cargo also flew to the BC by helicopter.  As usual, the glacier has changed completely in a year. All the flat places stood on end. We need to level up again.  The participants of Everest-23 arrive in Kathmandu only on April 15. And on the 17th, the start of trekking is scheduled, they will reach the Everest base camp only on April 25. That is, Sherpas can level and iron the glacier for another month. That's the hard work of our Sherpas.

Dear friends!  A few words about the upcoming season in Nepal. In addition to a large number of trekking and climbing groups, the 7 Summits Club and the 8000 Club organize an expedition on Mount Everest and an expedition on Makalu.

We have 13 participants on Everest now, a lot of Sherpas are involved, there will be a lot of oxygen and helicopters. Alexander Abramov will be a leader.  In the team: guide Viktor Volodin, doctor Andrey Selivanov and base camp manager Lena Abramova.

On Makalu we have a team of 8 climbers, it is headed by the famous Russian climber Lyudmila Korobeshko.

 The first expedition of the 8000.Club project  starts on April 17^th to the fifth highest peak in the World -Makalu. Lyudmila Korobeshko will lead the team.  Mount Makalu (8,485 m) has long been famous for a long and tedious trekking approach to the base camp. However, now all issues are being resolved with the help of a helicopter. Makalu is also a record holder among eight–thousanders in terms of the number of routes climbed and their variants. However, almost all of them have been completed only once. The absolute majority of climbers use the French route of 1955. It's A Classic!  A long detour route leads along the glacier and ends with a very beautiful final part.

 Another 8000.Club group will be working on Everest at this time. The team will be led by Viktor Volodin.  They have a special sport program. This year Nepal will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest in 1953.  Expedition of the 8000.Club will follow in the footsteps of the legendary Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.

  About a month is left before the start of our climbing programs to the summits of the Himalayan eight-thousandthers.
