Alexander Abramov, leader of the Everest expedition from Nepal: Today we obtained permit for Everest from the Ministry of Tourism of Nepal. And in the evening we celebrated the birthday of Volodya Grigoriev. The whole team wished him not only a good ascent to Mount Everest, but also a successful descent.

The main part of the Everest team arrived in Kathmandu. They arrived a day ahead of schedule, and the program starts tomorrow. But Nepal and the guides are happy to see everyone! Along the way, no one was lost in the flights, and even the backpack that was left on the plane was returned to the owner after a few hours. To make it even more fun to spend time in Kathmandu, two groups of the 7 Summits Club partially arrived today. One team goes trekking to Everest base camp, the second team goes to Mera Peak. There are more tourists in Kathmandu, thanks to us. And tomorrow we are waiting for the arrival of the Lhotse group.

The Everest-Lhotse 2021 expedition is gaining momentum. Sherpas work at the foot of Mount Everest, preparing the base camp. The guides, meanwhile, are completing the procurement, inspection, and preparation of the remaining cargo for shipment to the expedition camps. Tomorrow, the first members of the expedition will arrive in Kathmandu, and we are looking forward to meeting them.

About a week remains before the official start of the big expedition of the 7 Summits Club to Mount Everest and Lhotse. For the second time in history, we will storm the highest peak in the World from the south and for the first time the fourth-highest eight-thousand-meter peak. The first expedition of the 7 Summmits Club on Mount Everest from Nepal, along the Hillary – Tenzing route, took place in 2009. The team led by Alexander Abramov achieved great success - 12 people climbed to the top: 8 participants and 4 guides. There was no organized, professional video shooting during the expedition. However, something was taken down.

Yesterday, the 7 Summits Club hosted friends at our traditional party in the Sports Marathon Lecture Hall. The meeting was dedicated to the departure of our large expedition on Mount Everest and Lhotse. The hosts of the evening, the leaders of the company, and they are also the leaders of the expeditions, Alexander Abramov and Lyudmila Korobeshko warmly welcomed the audience. First of all, they told about the expedition and presented the participants of future ascents. Virtually, that is, on the screen, and live of those who were able to attend. The participants, in turn, very briefly shared what they wanted to convey to the public.

During the evening, the performances of famous climbers and participants of the 7 Summits Club expeditions were held in parallel with the communication in an informal atmosphere. The audience was addressed by: Viktor Volodin (with a story about the Russian eight-thousandth Lhotse Middle), Alexey Lonchinsky (about the Tamserku peak, for which he received the "The Golden Ice Axe"), Vladimir Kotlyar (who wandered a lot in the mountains of Nepal), Natalia Smirnova (about an unforgettable trip to Colombia). We should also note the parting words of cosmonaut and mountaineer Mikhail Kornienko. The Hero of Space handed Alexander Abramov the flag of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center for lifting it to the Himalayan peaks.

At the end, a traditional auction was held, which was fun and gave pleasure not only to the lucky winners.

The team of 38 Sherpas of the 7 Summits Club “Everest + Lhotse 2021” is working to establish a base camp on the Khumbu Glacier. On April 11, a team of 20 members and 7 guides will fly from Moscow to Nepal.

The Sherpa team of the 7 Summits Club expedition on Mount Everest and Lhotse continues to transfer equipment to the base camp. Cargo is transported to the upper part of the Khumbu Valley by the helicopter company Altitude Air. Then the caravan of porters will work.

The team of 38 Sherpas of the 7 Summits Club “Everest + Lhotse 2021” is leaving Kathmandu to establish the base camp on the Khumbu Glacier. On April 11, a team of 20 members and 7 guides will fly from Moscow to Nepal.

Features of the 2021 Everest expedition

**  We will climb from the South, from Nepal. Tibet will not be opened this spring. For those who went from the North, you can repeat, on a different, very different route. This is only the second expedition of the 7 Summits Club along the Southern Route, along the path of the first climbers, the legendary Hillary and Tenzing. And we can't say right now when we'll be back on this side of Mount Everest in the future.

**  Due to the pandemic, it is expected that there will be much fewer people than usual on the Everest trail and on the ascent itself. This is a rare chance on this route to get more natural emotions, not spoiled by the crowds of tourists and queues at difficult places during the ascent.

**  After a one-year break, the entire tourist infrastructure of Nepal will resume its work. All local residents, service workers, hoteliers, high-altitude porters and guides, all will be happy to see us in a special way. They will be more aware of the value of the guests and try even harder.

**  In the base camp and on a significant part of the route, the Everest expedition will work together with the 7 Summits Club expedition on Lhotse. There will be a lot of bright personalities in it, both among the guides and among the members. It will be a large and, we are sure, friendly team together.

The 7 Summits Club and the expedition headquarters of Fyodor Konyukhov came to an agreement to conduct an expedition on Ararat in August 2021. Together with the greatest Russian traveler of our time, we have already visited the summits of Mount Everest, Kilimanjaro and Elbrus, and this year we climbed Orizaba. Ararat will be a logical continuation of our cooperation. We know that the Bible mountain has long been a cherished dream of Fyodor. The experience of the past year allows us to hope that we will meet all the commitments we have made. In 2020, several groups of the 7 Summits Club successfully climbed the top of Mount Ararat. At the same time, thanks to the efforts of our President, Alex Abramov, we have provided the best service in the area.

The most popular super-guide of the 7 Summits Club, Vladimir Kotlyar, spends the second winter on the far borders of our homeland. After Kolyma, he reached Kamchatka, an incredibly beautiful, snowy, volcanic and oceanic territory. In itself, it is a constant adventure. A super team of Nepalese mountaineers with our friend Nimsdai, as the main character, is already celebrating the victory on the winter K2 in their homeland. It's time to mention our other friends and partners who have put a lot of effort into this mountaineering success. These are our Pakistani partners, with whom we have made friends this year. This is a firm that provided logistics for a group of triumphant climbers and, judging by the result, brilliantly coped with all the difficult tasks. These same people will help the 7 Summits Club's summer expedition to Karakorum, one of the goals of which will be to climb the legendary K2.

The expedition of the 7 Summits Club on Mount Everest in 2016 can be called historic. After all, it was the main shooting of the future film "High-altitude Gene" which will become our monument for many years to come. The ascent was difficult, the conditions were difficult, and it was all that was required to create a decent plot of the film. And the main thing is that we coped, overcame everything and look like real heroes in the film…

The 7 Summits Club Everest Expedition successfully completed  the final acclimatization outing

The  Team of the 7 Summits Club completed the acclimatization on Everest. All members, guides and video crew came  down to rest in the base camp. Members  who had a permit to the North Col, are ready to return home. Congratulations to those who established there their  altitude records!

 Unfortunately, due to the severe weather conditions, not all of them were able to climb the North Col. All participants with permits for Everest spent two nights at an altitude of 7000 meters at the North Col. And they made the climb  to an altitude  of  about 7500 meters. Everything goes according to plan the expedition. Although the snow conditions were more severe than usual. The expedition will rest first at the base camp, and then go down  in  the valley. Then the group will return to the base camp, then climb tj the ABC camp to wait for a weather window to climb to the summit.

Number of members - 26 people, including 16 people who plan to climb to the highest point - 8,848 meters. The climb will be carried out by the classical route from the north, from Tibet. All members of the expedition are planning to climb using artificial oxygen produced in Russia. The Everest-2016  team rested three days in the village Tashidzong. May 9^th, The Victory Day, we went up to the base camp. While our plans are not clear, it all depends on when the Tibetan climbers prepare the route. By tradition, the Victory Day was marked in the base camp, a reception, to which were invited guests from other expeditions...

11.05.2016. Summit push was unsuccessful, the most nervous time for the expedition began. Patience and effort for the team!

Lyudmila Korobeshko: Our impulse to move sharply upward was stopped by snow and the lack of a fixed ropes. But this, in some sense, the audit showed the willingness of absolutely all the participants for the assault at any moment.

We now have probably the most difficult period of the expedition.  First of all psychologically – it is waiting with so many ever-changing introductory. The weather forecast  changes daily (or more accurately, no end of snowfall). Normal and good window is not visible.

 Information from the Chinese changed about when they will finish fixing ropes to the summit. So there are many reasons  to be fidgety. We are encouraged by the fact that no one in our team use it. Everyone understands that patience– it is a  part of successful expedition.

Almost all participants had been ill, stopped to wash (to not get sick again;), everything getting thinner and tanned, we got used to each other.

Today we go to the Middle Camp to 5800. While as on the trip, but we'll see ...

 Yesterday, almost all members of the team went to the Old Monastery Rongbuk ...

Lying in the Base Camp in a sleeping bag  it is easier to think than at 7000.

 What's happening? Yes, as usual, the Chinese pulled with a fixed ropes. The Weather is snowing. The route has more than 1 m of snow. Wind is weak. It does not blow away the snow.

 We rest in the lower camps. Yesterday there was a concert of guitar music and singing. Moveв for cinema. They took as participants go to bed. What else to move?

 At the Base Camp and other camps in the abstract there are several Ukrainian girls, each of whom wants to climb Mount Everest. But they have feeble chance. And girls are slender,  gaunt already by waiting. Our Tanya is full of strength and desire!

 In general, all are alive and healthy. And ready to storm.

17.05.2016. Alexander Abramov from the ABC camp: nothing strange, usually we climbed Everest from 20 to 25 May

Tomorrow – on 8300,    and the day after tomorrow, on May 20, should be a summit bid. 20.05.2016. Information about summit  of Everest of the first group of the 7 Summits Club

Today at 5 a.m. on Nepal Lhakpa Sherpa reached the summit of Everest. This is her 7th summit (the world record for the women). By 8 a.m., the first group  of  7 Summits Club expedition was standing on top of the world,  as follows:

Successful descent!

 Members of the first group safely descended to ABC camp yesterday and today go to base camp: Liana Chabdarova, Irena Hazarova,  Oleg Pimenov, Vlad Moroz  and Vladimir Kotlyar. Alexander Abramov and Ludmila Korobeshko will be waiting for the descent of the second group.

Roman Reutov stopped at the North Col for making pictures, and now  he  plans to descend to base camp ..

The 7 Summits Club invites you to join our expedition to the Himalayas, which will aim to climb Mount Everest and Lhotse. Most of the participants will be those who, due to the regime of restrictions, could not fulfill their dream in 2020. The team is experienced and well-trained. Members continue training. An international team of mountaineers under the general leadership of the President of the 7 Summits Club Alexander Abramov began preparing for expeditions on K2 in the summer of 2021 and winter of 2021-2022. During this time, teams train separately in their own mountains. The national team of Kyrgyzstan held training camps in their native mountains, in the Ala-Archi region in the period November-December. In 14 days in November and 11 days in December, the team members completed a total of 7 routes.

 The national team of Kazakhstan trains now, on December 6-20,  in the Tuyuk-su area (Tien-Shan).

The Russian national team leaves for the Caucasus on December 18. They set a goal to pass the traverse of Elbrus in winter from West to East. From the pass to the valley Hatutu Riccati 5-6 winter overnight stays in the Alpine zone.
