A new group of the Russian camp of the 7 Summits Club started today its route to the foot of Mount Aconcagua. Yesterday there was a  hard day running around the hot Mendoza in search of SIM-cards and getting permits for climbing. This morning we moved to Penitentes, and went on a route.

Today and tomorrow we  will spend nights in the Confluencia camp, where there is no telephone connection. Two days later, we must reach the Plaza de Mulas camp and then there will be fresh news about our expedition. Guides of the group Andrey Berezin and Boris Egorov.

Today, January 21, the second expedition of the 7 Summits Club on Ojos del Salado starts. We go to the Laguna Rossa. There are three members in the group and guide Sergey Larin.

News from Ecuador from Elena Ivanova:

Today we climbed the volcano of Cotopaxi (5,897 m), which is considered one of the most beautiful in Ecuador. But, it was not up to the beauty! Again we were covered by icy rain. The thought slipped through several times to turn back. But there was enough strength to go to the end, to the top.

Tomorrow begins the ascent on the highest volcano of Ecuador and the most remote object of the earth's surface - Chimborazo (6 310 m). We hope that the weather will be more favorable! It’s good that the plan has a reserve day ...

Hello from the group Un poco! Today we went down to the Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. Two days ago, we climbed by the whole team to the top of Mount Aconcagua. All members are in excellent condition, today we will give them signs of honor!

 The adventures in Ecuador of Elena Ivanova or the girl who dreams of Everest (to become the first Israeli citizen on the highest peak of the world) continue. Yesterday, Elena climbed the second planned volcano. This time it was the volcano Corazon (4780 m). Corazon (translated - heart) is located in the western spur of the Andes. From its top, views of other volcanoes open - Cotopaxi, Iliniza, Ruminiau, Pasachoa. The crater of the volcano resembles a heart in shape. The most romantic climb is to take a heart attack! This time the weather was less cloudless, but this did not stop Elena from climbing, accompanied by our guide Edgar Parra.

Sergey Larin:  As I said, the group climbed Ojos del Salado on January 14 at 14:45. And yesterday, January 15^th, we went down to Copiapo. Unfortunately, Ulyana was not with us because of an eye problem. It’s a pity, she really wanted to get up and trained hard ...

Sergey Larin, the 7 Summits Club guide: Hello, Seven Summits! Happy Old New Year to you, from Ojos del Salado! Today, Andrei Nechet and Nikolai Gubensky, with a guide, Sergey Larin, climbed Mount Ojos del Salado. The climb took 12 hours from Tejos. So it’s not very fast ... And this is without a descent. So now we just went down to the crater, there is still a descent. Tomorrow we plan to be in Copiapo, so there will be photos and details....

Alexander Dorojukov, guide the 7 Summits Club from Argentina: Group Un poco went down from an overnight stay at Nido de Condores. We admired the beautiful sunset, had a delicious meal and are going to rest. Everyone in the group has a good condition. Tomorrow is our day of rest and then we go on an assault on the summit of Aconcagua.

Alex Abramov from Argentina: The second group of the Russian camp the 7 Summits Club on Aconcagua descended from the summit after a successful climb. We awarded all members medals for climbing Aconcagua and celebrated the success of our event.

Hello from sunny Argentina! The New Years 7 Summits Club group (5 members and 3 guides) climbed to the top of  Mount Aconcagua, at 12.45 local time. The weather was surprisingly beautiful, in contrast to the forecast. Today we are already resting at the Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. Tomorrow we go down to Mendoza. Greetings to everyone from Bolivia from Que Pasa group! Yesterday morning we climbed to the top of Mount Huayna Potosi - the most beautiful peak above six thousand meters (6088). We reached the peak almost all, only one member did not reach it stopped about 100 m vertically. Yesterday, we went down and arrived in La Paz. We are great. Everyone is happy. Today is the last day of the program. Rest and then we fly away ...

Alexandr Dorojukov, guide of the 7 Summits Club from Argentina: Hello everyone from Aconcagua,  from the group “Un poco”! Today we walked to the camp Canada. We checked the high-altitude boots, lifted the crampons up. Tomorrow is our day of rest, and if the weather is fine, we will arrange a bathing day. All members feel great.

Today the New Year's group of the 7 Summits Club went on an assault on the summit of Aconcagua. First we go up to the camp on Nido de Condores, tomorrow - the march to the Colera camp, and in the night – a summit bid. Guides of the group Alexander Abramov and Andrey Berezin.

Information from a guide of the 7 Summits Club Sergey Larin: Yesterday, January 9th, our group moved to the Atacama camp, at 5200 heights. Here, as always, it is windy. There are many people. Мembers feels - as it should be for a height of 5200 meters. We will be acclimatized. To the next camp of Tejos, at 5800, at the moment the cars are passing by. When we go climbing the summit, we don’t know yet. We will look at the weather and conditions. Well, bye for now!

Alex Abramov from Argentina: Two days of rest passed quickly. We visited the artist Miguel and he gifted one of his paintings to our cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko. And today, Nims and his friends came to visit us. Also, our new large group, 12 members and 3 guides, came up from below.

 Tomorrow, January 10th, we go on an ascent. The weather is so-so, a strong wind, but the snow has stopped falling.

The third group of the 7 Summits Club with a guide Alexander Dorojukov yesterday went from the Confluencia camp to Plaza Francia. It was an acclimatization ratation. Today they came to the Base Camp. March was really difficult, but everyone coped. Three days there was bad weather, now the situation has improved.

 A special group of the 7 Summits Club with the guides Egorov and Kotlyar arrived at the base camp a day earlier. Today they explored the surroundings of Plaza de Mulas. In the morning they went to the glacier, and after lunch they climbed bouldering. Perhaps this is the highest bouldering area in the world! The mood is good, the appetite is good, acclimatization continues.

 Hello from Bolivia! This is the group “Que pasa” and Luda Korobeshko. Today we woke up in a wonderful eco-hotel in the religious center of the Incan empire - on the island of the Sun. After drinking rejuvenating water from the magical source of the Incas and rejuvenated, we sailed to the island of the Moon. There we examined the ruins of the ancient temple. Here, beautiful young girls were brought up to 16 years old, then they were sacrificed to the gods or married to noble Incas. To whom it was lucky.

 Then we got to a floating island (Uros tribes still live on similar islands made of their reeds), where we caught fish and had lunch.

Further in the program there was a visit to the Temple of Copacabana, where locals  priests consecrate newly purchased cars. And in the evening, we moved to the Casa Blanca shelter at 4700, already on the slopes of Huayna Potosi.
