The guide of the 7 Summits Club, Viktor Volodin, reports from Nepal:

All namaste from Nepal! The group "Let's Go!" left Namche today in the direction of the high-altitude monastery of Tiangboche. The trail passed through groves of rhododendrons, which are just beginning to bloom. The beauty is extraordinary. Loaded yaks were coming towards us, with musical bells around their necks, calling and at the same time soothing and lulling. But we have a clear goal and we have to go. In the second half of day, we arrived at the nicest hotel in the area, where a warm bed and shower are waiting for us. In the evening, a delicious dinner and a well-deserved night's sleep.

Today was our final day in Kathmandu. We walked through the Tamel, issued permits for Dhaulagiri, attended the amazing evening Aarati ceremony in Pashupatinath and did the most important action that traditionally brings success to our team - walked three times around the largest stupa of Buddhanath.

In the evening we sat at the Hard Rock Cafe, where we finally met with our sirdar and a great friend, Lakpa Makalu. He has just successfully climbed Makalu (last Thursday) and supervised the installation of fixed ropes. He arrived in Kathmandu today. And tomorrow, early in the morning, he flies with us to Pokhara and then to Dhaulagiri.

We will try to keep in touch.

On the flip calendar, April 16. The group "Let's go!" is resting today, but is actively resting. In the morning we went to the Japanese hotel at an altitude of 3880 meters. We were really unlucky with the weather; it was cloudy and we couldn't see Ama Dablam and other beautiful mountains. In the afternoon, Abramov's group came up and in the evening we played billiards with them. As usual, friendship won. By evening, the weather turned bad and it started to rain. The participants feel well, their appetite and everything else is good.

From Alla Mishina and Sergey Seleverstov from a height of 4,600 meters:

The difficult trekking has been successfully completed. We finish acclimatization at an altitude of 4,600 meters with radial rotation to the point named Ramsey. We can already see Kangchenjunga. On April 18, in the morning, we fly to 5400, to the base camp.  There is no way to get there on foot now. Yaks and porters do not walk, it is about 50 km along the glacier and moraines, without stationary intermediate camps. Complete lack of communication. We transmit it by satellite phone.

All namaste from Kathmandu from the Dhaulagiri group! Today, all participants of the expedition to Dhaulagiri gathered in the capital of Nepal. Each participant of our expedition has already visited Kathmandu several times and managed to climb several eight-thousand meters. Everyone has 3-5 8000+ vertices behind their backs. Having more experience, we all had a good rest from the flights today and went to our favorite Mezze in the evening. Then Nims (with whom we have repeatedly crossed paths on different 8000) invited us to a nearby Penthouse bar, where we tasted a set of "14 eight-thousanders" and tried to find our own Dhaulagiri.  A serious mountain 😊

Tomorrow we get permits, perform the most important ritual for good luck (try to guess which one) and visit Pashupatinath at sunset.
