Today Alexander Abramov and our Ecuadorian guide Edgar Parra climbed the highest peak of Ecuador Chimborazo 6310m (the highest mountain in the world, if measured from the center of the Earth). Namaste!  Our group "Monkey Bite" today reached the end point of our base camp trekking program Mardi Himal (4200 meters).  From there we went down to the valley of the Mardi Khola river. In a few hours we saw different high-altitude zones: from the harsh icy peaks to tropical forests. We went through a long and interesting track during the day. Now we are in the hotel at an altitude of 1900 meters. We leave for Pokhara tomorrow.

Indonesia. Papua. Expedition Carstensz-2018.

After a sudden successful summit the day before yesterday, we can only ask the weather to give a second chance - the opportunity to fly early from the base camp down to Timika. Didn't happen yesterday. We waited walking  to the next valley and rest.

Today, all the stars have developed in our favor, even the helicopter pilot took a chance and got a group of turns between the clouds. We were worried, but in the end we are all at the bottom level.

And now we are preparing to celebrate the climb and congratulate new sevensummiters.

Congratulations with Seven Summits!
