April 19. Greetings to all from the expedition on Makalu!  Today our team arrived in Lukla and started moving towards Everest.  This year there are new rules - now at the checkpoint immediately after Lukla, documents are checked for a long time and a special trekker card is issued.

Halfway to the Phacking we had lunch and at sunset we came to the Shangri la Resort Sherpa - a cozy hotel among the pine forest and overlooking the neighboring Summits.

Tomorrow we move to the capital of the Sherpas – Namche Bazaar.

Greetings to all from Kathmandu from the expedition on Makalu! Today, on April 18, the last two participants arrived - Marina and Valery Babanov. We sent part of the cargo immediately under Makalu (in very beautiful bags). Then part of the group went to buy equipment, and the other part - to get acquainted with the culture of Nepal.

We visited several Hindu and Buddhist temples, saw the world's largest statue of Padmasabhava, meditated in the caves where Padmasabhava himself achieved enlightenment, made three koras around the largest stupa in Nepal.

In the evening we gathered for a gala dinner, which our Ecuadorian friend, Edgar Parra, unexpectedly shared with us. Tomorrow morning, according to the plan, we will start the trek to Everest Base camp.

The head of the expedition to Makalu Lyudmila Korobeshko reports from Nepal:

Greetings from Nepal from the expedition on Makalu! The first members of our team finally began to arrive in the capital of Nepal. In the morning, Veronica and Lilia (climbers of last season's Everest) arrived. By the way, these brave girls are planning to make two ascents of 8000 at once - to Makalu and Lhotse.  In the late afternoon Israfil Ashurly arrived in Kathmandu, an experienced high-altitude climber (took part in a dozen expeditions to the eight-thousandth Summits) who is an assistant leader in our expedition.

In the evening we paid a friendly visit to the Everest expedition led by Alex Abramov. All the girls first of all ran to be photographed with the legend of Soviet mountaineering - Sergey Bogomolov. He is participating in an expedition to Mount Everest as a preparation for his main goal - K2 this summer. Early tomorrow morning, the Everest team will fly to Lukla, and we will meet the main part of our team on Makalu.

The final news from the group of LYAMpaki from Tanzania. On the first day of spring we went down from Kilimanjaro to our hotel under the mountain - Aishi Machame. Super-cats Yana and Maria received well-deserved diplomas (2 pieces - one from National Kilimanjaro Park and the second from the 7 Summits Club) and 2 medals each (a small one according to the 7 Summits project for every day and a souvenir large one to wear purely on holidays).

We stopped at a wonderful souvenir shop near the Mweka gate. And in the evening we celebrated a successful ascent in the Jackfruit restaurant. It is kept by Russian guys, there are gorgeous pizzas, burgers, seafood, steaks, wines from South Africa - I highly recommend visiting. And after returning to the hotel, they continued to celebrate the ascent with Olya Rumyantseva and a bottle of champagne. Olya is already an aborigine here - she brought two groups to Kili, is waiting for the third and managed to participate in the famous Kilimanjaro marathon during the break.

We warmly said goodbye to our support group of local guides and porters, with whom we managed to make great friends during the expedition.

Super-cats and super-guide of the 7 Summits Club Lyudmila Korobeshko were in touch.

February 28 is the last day of winter (summer on Kilimanjaro). Jumbo from Africa, from the top of Kilimanjaro! Today, our group of Super-cats left the Kosovo camp at 4800 under a magical starry sky with Orion, the Big Dipper and the Southern Cross. Before dawn we arrived at the edge of the crater - Stella Point. And at dawn around 6.30 we stood on the highest point of Africa (on our heads and on the twine). We practically tumbled down, packed up, and arrived at the Millennium by lunchtime. We are resting. Tired but happy Super Cats and the super guide of the 7 Summits Club Lyudmila Korobeshko were in touch.

Jumbo from Tanzania, from the slopes of Kilimanjaro from the LAMpaka group! Today we moved from the Karanga camp at 4100 to the Kosovo assault camp at 4800. According to the stories of local comrades, Kosovo means "dangerous place" in Swahili. In fact, we really liked the place for the camp. We're the only team standing here. The rest of the groups stopped at the Barafu camp at 4600.  After lunch we walked up to 5000 for better acclimatization. We are resting now. Around midnight, we plan to launch an assault. So hold your fists for us!

Jambo from snowy and rain-drenched Tanzania! The morning did not portend anything. We dried up after yesterday's snowfall and slowly went out to storm the Barranco wall. The assault was successful. After lunch we came to the Karanga camp. As soon as we got into the tents, it began to rain, which turned into a downpour, then into hail, then into some kind of violent frenzy. Powerful streams flooded our tents from above and from the slopes, threatening to wash away the entire camp. Miraculously, the tents did not float away. But all things and we got wet ourselves.

When we finally leaned out of the tents after two hours of a snow shower, we hardly recognized the terrain - in mud flows interspersed with snow ... We are thinking how to dry. And how to go up tomorrow without crampons ... the whole mountain is covered in snow.... But we're super-cats. We'll manage!

February 25. Jambo from Tanzania from the Lyampaka group! Today we moved from Camp Shira Cave 3800 to Camp Barranco 3900 via the dizzying Lava Tower at 4600. From such a height, the heads were slightly dizzy. Having had a delicious dinner under the Lava Tower, we began to descend, and then we were caught by the strongest bad weather - a thunderstorm with a powerful snowfall. It was the first time I saw blue flowers under the snow. Barranco's camp was also covered in snow. Even our local guides said that they see this for the first time in this camp.

However, around 5 pm the sun came out, and we even managed to dry off a little and warm up for half an hour. The most powerful waterfalls poured down from the Barranco wall. Tomorrow we have to overcome this wall. We want to warm up and sleep well today. And tomorrow we will climb the wall.

Warm greetings to all from the snow-covered slopes of Kilimanjaro!

Jambo from Tanzania! Today is our second day on the mountain. After spending the night under the huge southern stars, in the morning we left the Machame camp, and a steep and slippery climb immediately began. We heroically overcame it and even had a cup of tea at the very top. After another hour of traveling through the magical forest with moss, we arrived at the Shira Cave camp at 3800. Before dinner, we walked higher for better acclimatization, got to know our local team by name and drink coffee with rum while waiting for dinner.

Tomorrow we will have a difficult trek to the Barranco Wall through the Lava Tower.

Jumbo from Tanzania! All morning we were choosing a name for our group. As a result, they came up with such a "Lampaka". LAM - Luda, Yana, Masha. Paka means "cat" in Swahili. In general, we are cat girls.

In the morning we had a hearty breakfast, packed up and went to meet the Kilimanjarian adventures. We went up from Machame Gate and an hour later these same adventures began - the heavens opened and it began to rain, and then a downpour with large hail began. I haven't seen anything like this on Kilimanjaro yet. Even though we put on our capes, we were still soaked through. However, an hour later the weather took pity. And even a timid sun peeked through. We arrived at the Machame camp at 2900 without rain. We changed our clothes and enjoyed a wonderful dinner with avocado and chicken from our chef Walter. In the evening, we passed a medical check - everyone has 10 out of 10. Tomorrow we will go further and higher!

Hakuna Matata! Lala Salama to all!

January 14. Greetings to all from Atacama, Chile, from the Papas Bravas group! Today we had a day of rest and excursions around Copiapo. We visited the central square of the city - Plaza de Armas - all in greenery, flowers, palm trees and pepper trees and with a statue of Juno on four condors in the center.

We visited the cathedral, went to supermarkets, visited the beautiful San Francisco Church (in honor of our recent ascent to the top of San Francisco) and the Atacama Museum of Local Lore. The museum is extremely interesting - with stuffed cougars (we realized that one of them recently came to our camp), condors, armadillos and other animals. We learned a story about how in 2010 33 miners were buried in the mine under the rubble for more than 2 months, but in the end they were all rescued. We found a wonderful courtyard with cacti and the best coffee in Copiapo. And in the evening we even visited the casino (partially).

Tomorrow morning we return to Atacama, to our camp on Laguna Verde.  And at night we plan to storm the volcano Ojos del Salado.

13th of January.  Greetings to all from Atacama, Chile, from the Papas Bravas group and congratulations on the Old New Year! We haven't been in touch for two days, since yesterday we climbed to the highest mountain shelter in the world at an altitude of 5900m - Tejos refuge. The road there is a separate song. Not everyone manages to drive up the steep slopes of Ojos, but we did it. We set up tents near the refuge and went higher - to 6200 for acclimatization. Going down to the Tejos, we met a large group of Lucky People who were singing songs merrily.

The night in tents at 5900 was quite successful. In the morning, however, we woke up under a layer of frost. We drank coffee, went down to Laguna Verde (4300), where we met Artem Rostovtsev, who had just arrived from Antarctica on an urgent call from Alex Abramov. We had breakfast with him and went on vacation to Copiapo. The assault on the summit is scheduled for the night of January 15-16. While we rest and gain strength.

January 9.  Greetings to all from Atacama, Chile from the Papas Bravas group!  Today we woke up in a magical place - on the shore of Laguna Verde Lake at an altitude of 4300. First of all, we went along the shore of this beautiful lake, surrounded by snow peaks, to the hot springs - to take a hot shower and do exercises.

Then we went to acclimatize to the slopes of the volcano with the romantic name Mulas Muertas (death to mules). We took a lot of pictures with Laguna Verde Lake, went down and went on a road trip to the border of Chile and Argentina to the San Francisco pass at 5000m. There we turned on the downshift and arranged an off-road race. By evening, tired but happy, they returned to the camp. Here we were pleased with Russian borscht, abalones (the largest clams) and a pisco sour cocktail.

Tomorrow we will have a serious test - climbing to the top of Mount San Francisco (6018m).  For almost the whole group, this will be the first ascent above 6000m. I hope we will succeed!

January 8. Greetings to all from Atacama, from Chile! Our Papas Bravas group relocated today to Laguna Verde, 4300. On the way, we finally saw the purpose of our trip - the volcano Ojos del Salado, covered with snow. On the way, we visited the unique Lama River, which flows in the desert and has a thermal origin.

We set up camp in a secret place - near our large group. The most difficult thing was to set up a tent-toilet: it was carried away three times until we could fix it. Before dinner, we drove to the hot springs and soaked in the thermal baths.  And for dinner, Abramov's group descended to the camp, after climbing  the six-thousandth San Francisco. We congratulated them.  Tomorrow we are going to acclimatize to Mulas Muertas. If we get up early, then in the morning we go to the hot springs to drink a cup of coffee in a hot bath…
