On Tuesday October 19, 2010, Raleigh native, James Wilde stood atop Mt Kosciuszko in Australia, completing his eight year quest to climb the seven continental summits.
James joins an elite list of climbers becoming one of the first 300 ever to complete this mountaineering feat. James climbed with the 7 summits club team on three different occasions, summiting Everest (2010) and Vinson (2009) with the club.
A graduate of N Broughton High School and North Carolina State University, James also has founded Raleigh based charity, Global H2O (www.globalh2o.org); a 501(C)3 non-profit focused on bringing access to clean drinking water to people in need.
In February this year, Global H2O completed its first project in Uganda, bringing access to clean drinking water to over 2000 people in the Kitgum Region of Northern Uganda.
The charity has raised enough funds and is currently planning the next project, which should be completed by the end of 2010.
