Two groups of the 7 Summits Club "Crystal" and "Zenbrus" climbed the Western peak of Elbrus. The forecast promised wind up to 40 km/h. And in some places it was so. But in the area of the summit it was almost completely calm and clear. This is how we celebrated the outgoing summer. The Cristall group climbed the Pastukhov Rocks today.  The weather is sunny and clear.  We were walking, enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain peaks that surround us. Summer is already leaving and it is getting cold above the rock ridges.  We put on our down jackets and went to the top of the rocks. Andrey Berezin, guide of the 7 Summits Club:  A group called "Crystal" has started a training program for climbing Elbrus.  Today we spent the first day of acclimatization on the slopes of Cheget. We climbed to the first station of the cable car, the height is 2700, we gained 700 meters in height. To start acclimatization, we have enough.  Tomorrow we plan to climb the refuge National Park and continue preparing for the ascent there.  The second group under the leadership of Alexander Dorojukov also started acclimatization rotation today.

Part of the way our groups had to "trail".  After dawn, the weather improved, and they walked, admiring the views of the surrounding peaks. Everything was great, all the participants and guides reached the top. The groups were led by the guides of the 7 Summits Club Andrey Berezin and Alexander Dorojukov.

Two groups of the 7 Summits Club with guides Andrey Berezin and Alexander Avtomonov have started their acclimatization rotation programs before Elbrus today. In the break between the rains, they climbed the slopes of Mount Cheget. Two other groups with guides Sergey Onufrienko and Alexander Dorojukov have already climbed the slopes of Elbrus and conducted training there in conditions of fog and complete lack of visibility. The cyclone dominates the entire Caucasus region. It should be over soon.

 A new group of the 7 Summits Club arrived in the Elbrus region and began to acclimatize on the slopes of Mount Cheget. By the time we ascended to the first station of the Cheget Mountain cable car, it began to rain, which we safely waited out in the Ai cafe. There we ate delicious hychins with hot mountain tea. After the rain stopped, we went down to the Cheget glade, rented the missing equipment and went to the hotel for dinner. After dinner, it was time to relax and get ready for tomorrow's move to the National Park Refuge. The guides of the group are Andrey Berezin and Alexander Dorojukov

Andrey Berezin, guide of the 7 Summits Club from the Elbrus area: The group "Unbearable Lightness of being" climbed the Western peak of Mount Elbrus today. We reached the highest point in two groups. There were those who used the snowmobile, but part of the group climbed on foot from the National Park Refuge (3888). The weather for climbing was perfect, the whole day was clear, without clouds and precipitation. The result is 100% of the participants were at the top during the day.

Two new groups of the 7 Summits Club have arrived in the Elbrus area. Today they went up to the first station of the cable car, to the cafe Ai. One of them is led by the director of the 7 Summits Club Lyudmila Korobeshko, the other – by our main guide to Elbrus Andrey Berezin. On the way, the participants and guides admired the beautiful views of the mountains: this is, of course, Elbrus, the legendary glacier "Seven", located on the northern slope of Donguzorun, also the peak of Nakra. Tomorrow, two teams will go up to the refuge National Park, where they will continue acclimatization and preparation for climbing Elbrus.

The weather was not easy: the wind was 50 km/h, sometimes cloudy and foggy, when I had partly to walk along a marked path, from one marker to another one. And at finish of that, there was cold rain on the top. And all these natural disasters did not prevent us from reaching the summit.

Today was an unusually hot day for these places, the air temperature rose to 35 degrees. But this did not prevent us from completing the program of the day. The group "Viva Elbrus" climbed the Western peak of Elbrus today.  We were pleased with the weather.  It was unusually clear and warm.  The whole group successfully descended to the hotel.  The second (VIP) group under the leadership of Sergey Larin will storm Elbrus tomorrow.

There, the participants mastered the skills of self-arrest with the help of an ice axe and movement on fixed ropes, as well as movement in crampons. The pine forest was replaced by alpine meadows with their various grasses. Along the way, we admired the views of Elbrus, which was perfectly visible today.
