Additional information Run over 100 marathons. Winner of the South African Masters Marathon Championships for his age group in 2000.
Run 20 Two Oceans and 11 Comrades ultra marathons. Still holds the un-official world record for running through the Fish River Canyon in 11 hrs and 42 mins. Leader of the first successful South African expedition to the North side of Mt Everest in 2007. Has been invited to climb the south side in 2010.
